The largest of all blacks, 23 inches wide, 11 inches high. Extra large metal ornaments. 8 day movement strikes half hours on a cathedral gong. Complete and original. Ly- Ingraham No. 677.
French black marble with gold-filled etchings on the front of the case; bronze frieze scenes on each side, of a woman and a cupid; gilt paw feet and bronze urn ornaments.
The large urn has a bronze portrait, similar to a Roman coin, in the middle of the bowl, which in actuality would be the screw head to hold the bowl to the clock case. The clock is 12.25 inches wide, 15 inches tall. The black marble dial is 3.5 inches with gold roman numerals and original gold hands. There is a very nice beveled glass in the front and in the back door. It has an 8 day, unsigned, movement, count wheel type, striking a bell on hours and half hours. Running and striking as it should.
Enameled Black mantle clock with hourly strike.
The very attractive black enameled case with faux marble columns and top panel compliment the clean, good running eight-day movement. The mechanism strikes the full hours on a melodious coil gong and marks each half-hour with one strike on a small bell. There is even an old seller's business card inside the case (see photograph)from the small town of East Berlin, Pennsylvania, where the clock was either serviced or sold many years ago. When we got the clock, the brass door bezel and glass were missing altogether. We were able to replace it with one that looks great and fits O.K.
