Country Store 8-day Regulator SESSIONS CLOCK COMPANY No. 4.
There are clock collectors and there are advertising collectors and there are some who admire and collect both. Here we have these interests incorporated into one fine clock. The Sessions Clock Company of Forestville, Connecticut named this their 'ADVERTISING No. 4'. The clock's eight-day, time-only movement is clean and running perfectly..keeping good time.
Gilbert Clock Company advertising clock for, "Old Mr. Boston", C. 1900.
The metal case is 21.5" high, and the largest of the 3 models they made. Gilbert's movement is 8 day, time only, and front wind. Excellent silver dial with raised black numerals, correct hands, bowed glass over the dial. Restored but needs a steady hand to touch up the black paint, the cream paint is fine. Ly-Gilbert, page 44.
Ever-Ready Safety Razor, advertising clock. This is the early rare model in an all metal case, 18" high, and 13" wide.
The movement is a double wind marine movement, 8 day time only. I chose not to remove the back of the case, not caring a whole lot if the old clock ran or not. I consider it a rare collectible, not an everyday running clock. I can not find a picture or reference of this model. Bernie Edwards's book on "Clock and Watch Advertising" shows the more recent model, but not the older metal clock.

The 8.5" paper dial is in very good condition, with the exception of one stain below the ad and the red 15 minute markers have been bleached by the sun. Complete with original rear wind key; ticks and stops. A nice size clock with interesting ad. Height 10.5 inches
C.1900, Ansonia Advertising Novelty "Simmons Liver Regulator", in very good original condition.
Note the ad is cast into the horse shoe as well as printed on the paper dial. Neat. Height 6 inches

Cast metal case is 21 1/2 inches high, the largest of the 3 sizes they made. 8 day, time only, front wind movement. Silver dial, bowed glass. The case was repainted many years ago and the black lettering was poorly redone. The clock needs to be restored properly. Ly-Gilbert, page 44.

Nice looking clock inside a 4 inch high cardboard stand, easel back. Ticks and quits, needs service. Beveled glass, nice metal inner dial and dial ring. Ladies head on top.
