Shortcomings include a weak paper dial, the numerals worn from setting the clock. A good artist could re-black the numerals and save the dial. The other minus is the little gilt gesso trim that borders the lower door is rubbed down to the bare gesso. Someone handy with gold leaf can correct this. Otherwise a good clock with good rosewood veneer and original 8-day movement and hands. Height 15'
