in cherry with burled accents. After 1900 this model was offered only in oak, so you need to look in the earlier catalogs to see that is came in oak, walnut or cherry. This is a great original clock, the original finish rubbed to a medium sheen. The only item that has been replaced is the weight, and it is appropriate for the clock. Note the lyre pendulum with wide oval rods, typical of Waterbury. The detail is a bit washed out in the full view, however the detail images show the cherry color and the extra detail on this model. In Ly's 1989 guide, he had this clock valued at $6000, while in the 2001 guide it is priced at $14,000. This clock is in excellent condition overall. Height 96º" ( grandfather, tallcase )
