23 October 2024
No. 75300, timepiece with restoration. Has a red brass case and 3" plain dial and was shipped from the factory on Oct 6, 1911. This is model no. 283, the next-to-smallest Commodore offered, and is time only, rear wind. The latch on the left side of the door failed and someone has attached a home-made unit out of steel that works very effectively, but is not attractive when viewed closely. Runs briskly. For comparison, see next lot. Height 6.12"
