Dimensions:24" high by 17" wide. Maker/Mfgr./Author/Artist:The Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Connecticut. Condition:Excellent/Mint; also running and striking properly. Circa:ca 1870 Materials:Walnut case with contrasting wood panel; brass movement; original paper covered dial; etched door glass. Description:Made by the William Gilbert Clock Co. in Winsted, Connecticut around 1870, this mirrorsides mantle clock retains its original finials, hardware and dial. It runs and strikes perfectly. The door glass is probably a replacement..although it very well might be original too. The cherubs are either regilded or not original to the clock.
