The dial and frame are 17th century pieces by William Holloway, of Strowd 1679; the movement is a Victorian chain fusee model, well made. Strikes the hours on the top bell. At this time many period lanterns were converted to 8-day spring clocks. Front top spandrel is engraved RSM, probably the first owners. Height 15 1/2"
