Round brass, 8 day movement by S B Terry, with seconds dial, ca 1852-1859 Pendulum is in front of the weight which is compounded in the top of the case on two wood rollers During this time period Terry made these regulators for himself, for Seth Thomas, and for others The dial is new to this case and was made with the Seth Thomas name, which in my humble opinion is incorrect If you compare all the Seth Thomas No 1 regulators in the catalogs, see Ly-Seth Thomas, page 107-109, you will readily notice the different case styles This flat bottom case looks original Good restoration to this very nice rosewood veneer case The weight, pendulum, glasses, movement, are all the correct styles used in Terry s early regulators
