"Patent Improved Brass Bushed Clocks. Manufactured and Sold By Marshall & Adams, Seneca Falls, N.Y.". The firm commenced in 1834 making clocks like this half column and splat. Complete label goes almost to the top of the case. Period weights, pendulum, hands, wood dial. Some paint flaking on the old dial. Note the partial seconds ring, there just for looks. 32 inch mahogany veneer, half columns painted black, splat matches the case body. I don't feel it was ever a stenciled case. Glasses not original. This is a rare maker and little is know of their business. Reference is, "The Contributions of Joseph Ives to Connecticut Clock Technology, 1810-1862", Revised Second Edition, by Kenneth D. Roberts, pages 158-159.
