Joseph Ives only clock to survive was this regulator with strap movement and roller pinions, a product of S. C. Spring, Bristol, CT Beautiful original glass, gold leaf on the back could well be original. Zinc dial is original. Black label is very nice and a little better than the label in the almost identical S. C. Spring clock below. The case is very nice, columns dark instead of gold on the clock below, 30 inch rosewood case is a little shorter than the average 8 day clock. Strikes a coil gong, has period weights, pendulum, hands.
