Black with white and gray veins throughout, bronze decorations, and bronze bases under each piece. The marble also has patterns cut on the front. Cherubs flank the clock, urns with cast figures adorn the side pieces. The clock piece is 19 inches wide and 13 inches high, side pieces are 9 1/2 inches high. 8 day movement is signed "Marti", strikes a standing gong. Bronze back door with a cloth cover, pendulum is correct, clock is running. Machine turned bezel, bronze dial with recessed numerals, bevel glass. Porcelain dial insert signed AlaGerbe D'or, H. Chapus Fils, 86 Rue de Rivoli, Paris.
