E.N. Welch oak kitchen shelf clock, probably one of the "Actor" series, ca 1880. Several similar to this in the Welch catalogs, but none exact. Large case at 25 inches high, original and complete with pendulum and key. 8 day movement is running, has strike and alarm. Alarms on a brass bell, strikes half hour and hours on a wire gong. Refinished bright oak case, like new, so assume was done professionally as there are no runs or spots like you normally see on a refinished piece.
