Someone who owned this wanted so bad for it to be a Howard and Davis, that he had a friend stamp Howard and Davis on the movement and had the dial repainted accordingly [looks to have been 25+/- years ago, as the dial is starting to flake]. Neither this case nor the movement ever saw the inside of the Howard shop, and it is definitely a Hatch. The case has been stripped and the tablet freshly painted. Hard to estimate a non-original clock such as this. Looks nice despite the problems, and seems to run OK. Height 32Ó $700-$900
