Waterbury Clock Co. "Regulator No.2", ca 1891.
An original and unrestored wall clock. It is 8 day, powered by 2 weights, time only, with dead beat escapement, retaining power, solid movement frames, and the best feature, it is running. There is a full black label inside and 90% of a black label on the back.Rosewood polished veneer case is 36 1/2 inches. Veneer is good all over except for two small pieces missing, about one inch. They have been covered with stain and are now hard to find. Good gold trim around the bottom glass. Black flocking on the back board. The two metal weights are painted black which makes them almost invisible descending against the black flocking, and I doubt if they are original. Signed 12 inch metal dial has minor paint loss and key scratches below the time arbor. Brass bezel with some dents, hands and pendulum are original. Ly-Waterbury No.525.
