An original wall calendar clock with the Maranville patent dial that was patented, March 5, 1861. It is a simple calendar. The dial is made of three, thin, paper covered metal discs. The front one is 15 inches, and is stationary. It shows the hour and the day of the month. The middle disc shows the days of the week thru cut out windows in the front dial. It is moved with a nail like pen. The back disc shows the months thru a window on top of the front dial and is also adjusted with a pin. These changes are made the first day of every month.34 inch walnut case with burl walnut trim. Carved top, base, and wings on the sides. The dial, glasses, and everything is original. A full black and gold label inside, and about 75% of a label on the back. Beautiful clean case, all burl intact. Ly-Gilbert, pages 76, 85.
