Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. "No. 3 1/2 Parlor", ca 1875.
This is the Early model, black dials and silvered hands. 20 1/2 inch walnut case, ebony trimmings and elaborate carvings. Case has been refinished and is in superior condition. Nickel plated sash, bell, pendulum rod, calendar, hands, and most of the calendar mechanism. 8 day spring movement strikes on a nickel bell, hourly.8 inch glass calendar dial, numerals, and designs, painted silver, and makers identification in gold. The glass pendulum with etched inscription, "ICCCo". The S-F adjustment is above the glass bob.Note the matching (wood and paint) shelf, especially made by a very good craftsman, to hold this clock. Well constructed with metal brackets, wood sides. If I didn't know better I would have thought Ithaca made it to sell with the clock. Ly-Calendar, page 132-135.
