"William S. Johnson's Clock Establishment-New York", on the full label. 8 day gong striking movement, is large and unsigned. Ripple front case is 16 inches high. The mirror is probably original, backed by a paper dated 1850. Both doors are beveled veneer. Good veneer all over the case, original latches. The old zinc dial has excellent paint, almost too good to be original, but there is no evidence it was repainted. This is a rare old ripple front shelf clock in excellent condition.
