The makers of Illinois Railroad watches made several styles of electric clocks at a time when electricity was becoming available to a majority of Americans. Their catalog of 1928 showed many models and explained they would run 24 hours, with a mainspring, even if the electricity was off. I don't know if this clock has a mainspring. I don't mess with many movements, especially electric movements. It does run. Brass eagle and side rails. Nautical bottom glass and George Washington throat glass, both original. 29 inch walnut case is near perfect. Silver dial, convex glass, recessed numbers. Dial center revolves when the clock is running.
