This clock sold new for $53.50 in 1904. The statue was professionally refinished by Charles Carrick; the black iron base was repainted with a brush (looks OK, but you can see the brush marks when up close). Still a large and impressive clock. For additional information, see Ly, No. 1481, page 382. Has large open escapement movement with gilt brass dial and original hands. Also note that this Indiana iron base is heavier and more durable than the similar Florida base, plus has inset scenes on each side. Height 27 inches
