Southern Calendar Clock Co., St. Louis, Mo. "Fashion No. 1" C. 1875.

This was the beginning of the Fashion line. The first one used the same short drop movement and similar case to the Seth Thomas No. 3 Parlor Calendar Clock. It is almost impossible to find a No. 1 with good veneer. This clock is in fair to good condition with most of the veneer problems on the rolling base and top. Where the veneer is missing stain was applied so that a close examination is the only way to see the problems. The 29" case is rosewood veneer, dials are paper, hands original. The 8 day spring movement is clean and running. There is a full label on the door stating the clock was produced May 1875.
