This rare model has an 8 day movement, strikes the half hours on a coil gong, running very well. The 17" mahogany veneer case is all original, never refinished or cleaned, now dark from 140 plus years of coal smoke, but certainly acceptable as is. The gold columns are just outstanding considering all the handling over the years. The glasses are original, the main pattern of strawberries and leaves is holding nicely; the backing, if there was any, is long gone. Dial is also original and very nice as is the large complete label. Folks this is about as good as it gets for a clock this old. See Ly-Ingraham, page 257, identical to that clock. This model has sold over $600 for several years.
