Mahogany case is 20" high, 12" wide, has 5 original finials, one tip broken and glued. 4 large turned wood feet. The front door is beveled giving the impression the glass is beveled. The back door latch needs some attention, part missing, good brass latch in front. Full label on the back door. The big 8 day movement strikes Westminster Chimes on 4 Cathedral gongs on the quarter hour, and strikes the hours on a large gong, running well. The 6" silver dial ring is the only negative against the clock. The black numerals, being painted on the surface of the dial, have worn between 6 and 10, the same place most all dials wear. The other parts of the square dial plate are brass including the spandrels in the corners. Ly-New Haven #345.
