International Time Recording Co. wall hanging timepiece made of solid oak, but heavy as lead.

The golden oak case is 36.5" high by 17.5" wide. The headpiece, upper door, and "ears" on the sides, are carved. The upper door was originally key locking, but the lock is now missing. The lower door is secured at the bottom by 2 pins in the case that fit in slots in the door, and the top by a knob operated latch. The clock has old glass, top and bottom, and the "Regulator" is reverse painted. The large unsigned movement is mounted on a massive cast iron base that also serves as a dial mount and pendulum hanger. The eight day plus, time only movement has a Graham adjustable pallet dead-beat escapement and two large mainsprings (3/4 inch wide). The movement is quite similar to the large "A" plate Seth Thomas movement. It also has a beveled gear arrangement that results in a shaft running vertically down. This shaft undoubtedly powered something that is no longer with the clock. It has been running in our shop for several weeks. The pendulum bob is nickel plated. The 9.5" paper dial is water stained but all the printing is very legible. The dial pan is tin with a nickel plated brass trim ring. All in all a very nice old I.T.R. A lot of bang for the buck in this clock.
