Both the town and company are unknown. Research has shown there has never been a town in Connecticut by that name, and no record of another clock with this makers name. 19.5" mahogany case is near perfect like the others in this collection. The old dial has lost paint, particularily around the alarm ring and winding arbors. To preserve the authenticity of the clock the dial was not repainted but the flaking was painted over. The lower glass also took a hike and now we have an early Colonial print that is very timely. The movement is signed by, "A.S.Platt & Co/Bristol,Ct." There is a great full label. Here is a chance to be the only person in the world to own a clock by this maker. Reference: Bulletin 333, page 506.
