Dungan & Klump, Model No. 2 of the Dickory Dickory Dock Clock, ca 1910.
The clock has an 8 day movement made by the New Haven Clock Co. The movement is in the bottom of the case and the release mechanism for the mouse is in the top. There are two doors covering the entire back, both hinged, and with latches. Only a few hundred of models one and two were made, hence their scarcity today. The first mouse clock I owned I sold to the Dungan family, of Philadelphia, for 2000 dollars. They were so appreciative that I would sell them the clock, they mailed me an extra bonus check. I don't expect one with this sale. It is impossible to say for sure but I am speculating that the top was broken, (from all appearances it may have been made this way) subsequently sawed off even with the box. The left ear also is definitely questionable. The old wood mouse is apparently original but the pipe cleaner tail is not. No label. Everything inside and outside looks to be original and in working order. The considerable gold figures, nursery rhyme, minute markers, etc are still strong. This is only my 3rd mouse clock in almost 30 years of buying and selling clocks.
