Ansonia Clock Co. hanging "Regulator A", ca 1906.
This is basically just a long drop but Ansonia added some extra touches like polished black walnut veneer, black trim around the bezel, made the bottom glass a little more attractive, and the brass pendulum bob is quite a bit larger than what you see on most long drop clocks. Movement is 8 day, hour and half hour gong strike, and of course running. The original dial is soiled over all but a small section on the left side. I would sure darken that to make it look like the rest of the dial. There are some small hauling scuff marks and some veneer repair on the lower part of the door and case. A professional job that doesn't stand out like a sore thumb. Ly-Ansonia #660. In very nice condition we see these selling for 600 dollars to 800 dollars and in some cases even more.
