Charlie Holland, Fort Worth, Texas, the prolific clock maker known throughout the Southwest, made this large, very attractive walnut clock and shelf. Most collectors in that part of the country have one or more Holland clocks in their collection. This extremely large clock is 36 inches high, and sitting on the shelf is 43 inches high. It looks new except for a couple of small insignificant scuff marks as a result of riding in a U-Haul trailer from Texas. This could be a 15 or even 31 day movement, but we will call it 8 day, with calendar and strikes on a gong. I ran it briefly but it may need some oil as it has been in storage a few years. There is lot of finewood work on this case. I wouldn't be surprised if Mr. Holland got 1000 dollars or more for this big clock when new. Not being acquainted with what his clocks are bringing in the Southwest my estimate may be low at .
