Rarely do we see a completely original case when there are this many points sticking up everywhere. This clock is no exception; the top left piece was remade. They had a pattern on the other side, so it looks good. I just wish they would have stained it a little darker. The oak case is really good looking, grain running straight instead of ever which way. Stands 21 inches high. 8 day movement is running strong, striking a cathedral gong on hours and half hours. Part of a label on the back. Very good brass pendulum and brass rings. Ly-Gilbert #1212.
