C.1860, George D. Hatch, North Attleboro, MA, 8-day "Baltimore Banjo", weight driven timepiece.

Condition: Rosewood grained case is in good condition with the original graining intact. There is a repair to the wood bezel at the 1 o'clock position that will need attention. The bottom door has some shrinkage of the grained segments. The original tablets have had some touchup to the gold and the black areas have been restored. The original dial has been repainted. The hands and weight are replacements. A similar clock is pictured in Paul Foley's book on "Willard's Patent Time Pieces", Pg. 175. This clock will restore nicely. See also lot 423. Height 33.25 inches
