C.1910, Sessions Clock Co., "Model 5, Dickory, Dickory, Dock", 30-hour mouse clock novelty timepiece.
Condition: Refinished oak case is in very nice condition with restoration. The gold decoration of the cats on the pillars, and the nursery rhyme, has been restored. The mouse looks original, but has been painted gold. The dial paper looks to be original and is very clean. Hands are original. Remains of a Dungan and Klump label can be found on the back of the case. These timepieces are rather rare as not many were made by Sessions, and they were not well received by the public. Unlike previous models, the mouse on model V did not tell time, but was pulled to the top and dropped every hour. An example of the timepiece can be found in the NAWCC supplement No. 4 (Summer 1966) on "Elmer Ellsworth Dungan and the Dickory Dickory Dock Clock". Height 15.5 inches
