Sessions antique marquetry mantle clock, "The manchester" model, 8 day. Size is 13 3/4" x 8 3/4". The clock is a very difficult model to find verging on rare. They we made between 1912 and 1918. Not only is it completely original it is also in near mint condition. The solid mahogany case has a perfect original finish. It has just been cleaned and waxed. The porcelain dial is perfect, no chips or cracks. The inlay is perfect. 96% of the label is intact on the rear. See many additional photos. Nothing has ever been altered or changed since the day the clock was made. The week duration has been professionally rebuilt, it chimes on the hour with a very deep resonate tone. The half hour is announced by the single strike of a sweet little bell. There is a slight shrinkage crack on the front on the bottom. It is very minute but has to be mentioned. This is a remarkable design for the Sessions Clock Company of Forestville Ct. If they would have only made more quality clock likes this they would have given Seth Thomas a good run for their money.
