E. Howard and Co. "Regulator No. 10", ca 1990.
Another outstanding clock made by Wayne Cline. He has been reproducing the Howard clocks for 40 years in his shop at Bowling Green, Ky. Collectors all over the world have one or more of his fine clocks and he always has a long waiting list for the more poplar models. This one is every bit as nice as the Howard company reissues. It is in excellent original condition and has been in the living room of this collector since Wayne made it. The 34.5 inches high cherry case and its components all have matching serial numbers, "85". The 8 day time only movement was made by Kilburn and Proctor and is identical to the Howard No. 5 movements. It is signed, "Wayne R. Cline, Bowling Green, KY", and has the number "5" inscribed. The number 10 Figure Eight uses the same No. 5 movement and weight as the No. 5 banjo. This clock is perfect and running.
