30 hour, time and strike, fusee movement by Boardman. Strikes hourly on a coil gong. Johnson like Andrews, purchased cases and/or movements from Bristol, Conn. clock makers, however, this case appears to be a Forestville case. Small rosewood case is 17.5 inches high, ripple trim around both glasses, top and base, and is in good restored condition. Full backboard label in generally very good condition, old bob, gong, hands, and brass fusees with springs. The old original zinc dial is much better than one should expect. Both glasses are probably original, the bottom an original Fenn glass decorated in a patriotic motif, eagle, olive branch, etc.
