Junghans open swinger clock in a mission style walnut veneered case that is 33.5 inches high, and 14 inches wide.
There are small side glasses and a good rounded door glass. We believe the headpiece to be original. In the old country, a few wood beetles invaded and left a few holes but they are hardly noticeable. The beetles stayed in the old country. The case is very solid and it has a nice finish on the wood. The 6 inches pie shaped dial has painted on numerals. It is very clean and shows no wear. That piece is mounted onto a copper plated surround with silver cast spandrels at the top and lower corners. The copper has some bubbles, whether it is paint or some other material we are not sure. The pendulum bob is a copper plated cast metal shield, which is unusual, and very attractive. The 8-day movement is running very strong, strikes on an elaborate coiled gong and stand that produces a slight vibrato. This is a lot of clock for the money.
