Welch, Spring and Co. "Gerster", ca 1879, one of the first clocks using the "Patti" movement.

This model was made for only 5 years, consequently few were made, making them a scarce clock today. Made with polished black walnut, many turnings, elaborate rail around the top. The case is 18.5 inches high and in very good original condition. The only fault I can find is a new paper dial, and insufficient label. The pendulum is correct, and the gold on the front glass is great. Ly-Welch No. 283.
