It may have been too expensive for general sales, a special order clock, or an experimental clock, in any event there are only a handful known to exist. It is a fine piece of furniture that deserves a place in your living room for all to see. The 36 inches high case is made of high-grade mahogany, polished and rubbed to look like an expensive table. The wood is so dark it is difficult to take a good picture, but the weights and pendulum bob are covered with the same mahogany. The little acorns on the chain ends are also made of the same wood. There is some carving on the tail but otherwise it is just good basic woodwork. Chain 8 day movement is clean and running. The 7 inches dial is milk glass with painted numerals. The large weights are 12.5 inches long. I sold this clock in the Feb. 2000 catalog, No. 42, for $1380, with some spirited bidding. It came back home in a collection of fine clocks, many of which are pictured on the preceding pages.
