Ansonia Clock Company "Crystal Regulator No. 4", ca 1906.
This is an early model No. 4; some of the models made in 1914 had flower decorations and a different top design. If you have Ly-Ansonia, check pages 134-138 to examine the complete set of eight clocks. You will notice that many were in the Jean Braucht collection. This clock and the following No. 1 were part of the Braucht collection of perfect Royal Bonn Crystal Regulators. This one is Cobalt Blue, 17.75 inches tall, plenty of gold accents, polished brass and rich gold ornaments, Royal Bonn top and base, beveled plate glass on all sides, twopiece porcelain dial with visible escapement. As always, the movement is 8 day, half hour gong strike. The Braucht's spent over 40 years acquiring and restoring their set of perfect crystal regulators. Ly-Ansonia, page 136.
