Ansonia Clock Co. enameled iron clock, painted white, St. Clair , ca 1886. Dial, bezel, and all the brass trim, is partly white. The catalog picture of this clock does not do it justice; this is a very nice looking iron clock. The accessories are just outstanding. The numeral circles are recessed, and then the numbers painted gold. This is an open escapement dial, original hands, original pendulum, and very good beveled glass in the sash. I don't want to tout the clock too much, but this one is different. 8-day movement, half hour gong strike. The movement plates are mottled, not smooth. Small problem n the No. 2 strike wheel has a bent arbor and a broken pivot. Ly-Ansonia No. 994.
