Condition: Refinished mahogany veneered case in good condition with restorations. Columns have been repainted and the gilt areas overpainted with gold paint. There is a strip of veneer missing just below the splat and some loss on the sides of the base. Original dial has poorly painted areas where flaking has occurred. Hands are original. Both tablets are repainted with country scenes, a base-ball game and a tennis match, not appropriate, but charming. Dark label inside caused by someone who has varnished it. Turned feet look ok, but are replacements. The two iron weights with this clock are from an 8-day OG, and will NOT fit inside the channel; you will need to order new ones. Height 35.5 inches [90.17 cm]
