C.1885, E. Howard Clock Co., "KOSMIC" version of the No. 70 Regulator, walnut, weight driven.

Condition: generally very good to excellent original, especially the dial and numeral blocks. The weight knocked the bottom off once and someone added a steel angle bracket to hold on the bottom; we took it out. Tablet and top glass original; good damascene on pendulum and original weight. Note this clock was patented June 9th, 1885. This clock was in response to demand for a 24 hour clock to avoid misunderstandings in train time-tables. See Feb 08 Nawcc Bulletin article by Ian Bartky, discussing Sandford Fleming's many contributions. Fleming is given credit for the inspiration behind this model; see also Bulletin No. 288, Feb '94.
