30-hour time and strike, weight-driven, wooden works. Painted wooden dial, gilt scrollwork center and spandrels. Mahogany case with stenciled half columns and scroll-cut splat flanked by plain plinths. Nice replaced tablet with landscape and Palladian buildings, bronzed leaf surround and lock on case side. Cleaned original finish and paper label. 16.5" wide x 5.2" deep x 35" high.Exhibited and pictured in Ohio Clock Exhibit 1810-1850, Warren County Historical Society, 1984, pg 16, figs. 30-31.Ex Paul A. Heffner Collection.As above and left side molding of crest replaced, else VG+.
