this case retains original finish with ebonized moldings. Top surface of baffle is of birdseye maple. The dial was bent at some time and has a crease that has been repaired, however 95% of the black surface is original and nicely crazed; the numerals and signature have been strengthened. Damascene pendulum, hands, and case hardware are original; pend stick is repaired at bottom = see detail foto. Signed Howard mov't and weight both bear the No. 5. Seems to run fine. Ht 46"
