refinished rosewood veneered case in very clean condition with a very small piece of veneer missing on the left column and some small chips on the base on the right side back. Original painted dial with some paint repair at the mounting screws and at one corner. Both glasses look to be original. Hands are original. Movement is signed with Jerome imprint. Much of the original Jerome and Co label is legible, however part still has the remains of an old over-paste, and there is also a patent date (1857) label pasted to the back of the center door strip. Ht 32"
