Most call this dark walnut case that is about 24" high, "teardrop". It was cleaned but no polish put back on the wood. The wood parts are original and all intact, has a wonderful glass featuring a peacock, other birds, and even a lake with a boat on it. No door latch but the nickel pendulum and nickel gong base are very good, and the nickeled dial rings match the other nickel items. Old signed dial is soiled, and the hands and alarm set ring are correct. The 8 day movement and alarm movement both are functioning properly, alarm sounding on the nickel gong base, and the hours and half hours sounding on the Cathedral gong. Ly-Ansonia No. 1778.
