French statuary/clock with a good looking statue, and the clock tower does not look all that bad. The movement is a 30 hour balance, time only, and signed, "English Time Corp. / Germany". I wound it and it kicked over and is running, but frankly I think those little movements are a little cheesy. The El Cheapo dial is signed, "Made In France". The statue sits on a marble base, four brass/metal feet underneath, all four a tad loose, one will need attention, three you can get by without doing anything. As I am typing and watching the clock it is still running as almost all of this collectors clocks did. He was a good mechanic. Interesting that this Long Island collector never belonged to any clock organization, did not know any other clock people, but had a great collection of 200 clocks that we bought and are offering in this auction and the past auction.
