Rodney Brace, North Bridgewater, Mass., 30 hour Torrington wood movement half column shelf clock. c.1831. refinished mahogany and mahogany veneered case in nice clean condition. Wooden dial that is most likely original looks to have been repainted. It also has some small metal bars on the back placed there to try a correct a warping problem. Wooden movement has had some bushing work. Mirror in the door is original. Upper glass, while old, is a replacement. Hands look to be original. Nice label inside case with the U.S. Census for 1830. Ht. 23"
