the case is in excellent original condition including original finish, veneer, carving and Sandwhich glass pulls. There is a minor veneer repair on the right cornice return. The four glass tablets are in excellent condition with one crack in the tablet inset into backboard, which is a silk screen depiction of Saratoga Springs. The hands are replacements. The movement in this clock is the less common version used by Marshall and Adams. For a similar example of this rare model with the painted tablet in the backboard see lot 386, an S.B. Terry model, in Skinner's July 16th, 2011 sale, which sold for $9000 plus Buyer's Premium. Ht 40"
