Co., Litchfield, Conn., mirror clock, 8 days time only, spring driven balance wheel movement in a mahogany case, c1850, the surface and both mirrors are original on this unusual style which is wider and shorter than the typical Hills design. The signed marine movement has a horizontal balance wheel. The dial pan may be old, however paper dial is a replacement, stressed to appear old (these dial pans were always painted); hands are old; the small tab holding the door closed is absent but easily replaced.
