Robinson and Collins, New York, 8 day, time and strike, detached fusee brass movement shelf clock, c1845 Mahogany veneer and pine case in an old finish with some minor loss on the base. The bevel frame, case sides and half-round moldings are plain finished pine and not veneered. These parts would have been veneered originally. Original painted wood dial with a little wear and some loss at the mounting pins. Hands are period and most likely original, although the minute hand has a bushing to fit the movement. Original tablet is worn. Original 30 hour movement converted to an 8 days, by the addition of sections from the front plate stampings. Ht 20.5" For a veneered case, see Year Clock Co [J. R.
