Rare, c1850 Large painted paper mache case richly decorated in MOP flowers with gilt vines and chain design in very fine condition in original finish. Original painted dial has age darkened with wear to the numbers and inpainting in areas of paint loss. There are extra holes in the dial from damage to the case caused by the screws removed and replaced over time. Hands are original. A nice label on the back of the case. Despite minor wear commensurate with its age, this is a very uncommon clock. Ht 19 1/4"
